Our Consultant Spotlight of the month is Tiffany. Here she shares with us some of her business insights and words of advice!
1. When did you begin your Pure Romance career?
I received my kit in November of 2012.
2. What attracted you to Pure Romance? What was your “why”?
I've wanted to be a sex therapist for as long as I can remember. I thought this would be a great way to be able to help people with their sexuality without accruing a bunch of debt! (lol) I'm a single mom so my "why" was and still is my baby boys!
3. Has your “why” changed since you’ve been in business?
Kinda. I'm still doing this for my sons but I'm also doing it for myself.
4. Have there been any surprises in your business or has it been exactly what you imagined it would be?
I don't think that I necessarily imagined it to be anything as strange as that sounds. I'd been to two parties before I became interested in selling. The first when I was 20 and the second when I was 27. At that second party I remember watching the consultant thinking "I could do this.." so I took some time to really think it through and here I am now!
5. What is your favorite thing about being a consultant?
I love being able to help women! Being a survivor of sexual abuse, I went through a long period of time thinking that sex was dirty (not in a good way!). That was only multiplied once I started battling chronic pelvic pain issues. I never want another woman to harbor that type of pain - physically or emotionally. I'm so proud that I can touch women's lives and be an advocate for their sexual health.
6. Share with us a short term goal and a long term goal.
My short term goal is to become a Director! Long term is President's Club and my high goal is Board of Directors!!
7. Do you have a favorite item to demo? What and Why?
Clitoral vibrators and vaginal trainers! Clitoral vibes because every woman should experience mind-blowing orgasms and trainers because I think it's so important to stay pro-active with our vaginal health!
8. Is there anything special that you do for your hostesses to build rapport or get them to book with you?
I just treat them the way I'd want somebody to treat me if I was in their shoes. They've invited me into their homes and introduced me to their friends so I try to show my appreciation. I don't have a set formula though, I kinda do what I feel is right in each situation.
9. What advice would you give to a brand new consultant?
Study all the information given to you, go to trainings and team meetings, seek out the help of sister consultants, and most important a positive attitude can do wonders in all aspects of your life! Success doesn't breed from a "woe is me" type of mentality. If you really want to build your business believe that you can, put in the hard work, and amazing things will happen!
10. Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
I feel so honored and blessed to even be chosen for this! It's crazy because this time last year I was saving up money to buy my kit but never would've imagined that I'd actually be running a business. I signed up just to kinda see what would happen not knowing that I was making the best decision I've ever made. I've faced many struggles this past year but I also knew that I'm capable of achieving anything that I put my mind to. I wanna say thank you to all my teammates and especially my mama, Mallory McCune! I can't wait to see where my business will take me and I love that I get to go through this journey with all of you!
