Our Consultant Spotlight of the month is Jessica Raymond. Here she shares with us some of her business insights and words of advice!
1. When did you begin your Pure Romance career?
I began my Pure Romance career on August 28th 2012. My first party was September 12th.
2. What attracted you to Pure Romance? What was your “why”?
I was attracted to Pure Romance because of all the awesome products they had that I used on a day to day basis and I was addicted to having parties, so why not make money. I needed some extra money (just a few parties a month).
3. Has your “why” changed since you’ve been in business?
Yes, my why has changed. I was just looking for something part time and just a tad bit extra cash, but now I want to make it big, I want to educate women on how much this business can help them and their lives.
4. Have there been any surprises in your business or has it been exactly what you imagined it would be?
There have been huge surprises. I thought it would be harder than it is. I thought I wouldn't have any help along the way but I have a huge, wonderful group of women to learn with!
5. What is your favorite thing about being a consultant?
I don't have a favorite thing about being a consultant. There are too many to list. I love being able to meet the wonderful ladies that I do. I have gotten some great friends out of this job, and the money is a plus too! Plus, having all the family time! There is no way I could get paid the money I do anywhere else for the work that I do!
6. Share with us a short term goal and a long term goal.
My short term goal is Director! I'm almost there!! My long term goal is Presidents Club! Cannot wait to see what this year brings! (Since the interview date, Jessica has achieved her promotion to Director! Congratulation!)
7. Do you have a favorite item to demo? What and Why?
My favorite item to demo is Wanda. I love being able to explain different "spots" to them they didn't know about and then them calling or texting the next day thanking me!
8. Is there anything special that you do for your hostesses to build rapport or get them to book with you?
I offer hostess tons of different things depending on the time. If I'm booked, maybe not so much credit but a great free item. I always offer discounts for coming back to me! And I always offer bonuses for bookings!
9. What advice would you give to a brand new consultant?
READ, READ, READ! Training, Training, Training! And act professional! All these pages can tell you much needed info! The training has helped me so much; it pumps me up even if it's something I thought I knew (which I always learn more). If you aren't professional, no one will trust you. It's a competition out there and if you won't do it, there is someone else that will! Someone once told me "fake it, 'til you make it"!
